Agile Management Office has 12 Guiding Principles that lead our way of working. These principles are integrated into our AMO Way framework for implementing long lasting change, and by embodying these 12 points, we have been able to secure reliable and targeted results for all of our clients.

Let’s dive into one of the principles!

Principle 12:

Proactively demonstrate value

Defintion

Proactively demonstrating value is about controlling situations by taking a course of action early and not waiting to respond after a situation may have escalated. To do so, we must have an open and curious mindset and be flexible when meeting these immediate needs. We do not wait for someone to ask us how we are adding value or when it comes to being challenged, but rather seeking advocates by showing people how we are helping them better meet their objectives by being here.

Example

By proactively applying many of these principles from developing synergistic governance techniques that integrate across the value chain collaboratively and integrating governance from ideation through to benefits realisation and into business as usual to creating an environment that encourages collaboration, communication and coordination, is going to target the high value areas that benefit the masses. These areas are inter-twined with one another and as such you are already part of the solution, not just another number.

Checklist

  • Plan for change well.
  • Use performance measures.
  • Collect information & report on results regularly.
  • Assess performance and impact.
  • Ask for feedback early and often, then act on it.
