Agile Management Office has 12 Guiding Principles that lead our way of working. These principles are integrated into our AMO Way framework for implementing long lasting change, and by embodying these 12 points, we have been able to secure reliable and targeted results for all of our clients.

Let’s dive into one of the principles!

Principle 1:

Develop synergistic governance techniques that integrate across the value chain

Defintion

Corporate governance encompass the system in which the organisation is controlled and how it operates. When developing synergistic governance techniques, it is important to look at everything involved; from people to performance, and from process to purpose. The integral linkages between each element of the value chain is supported by communication, in order to ensure integration. This includes creating and maintaining organisational clarity, defining and monitoring, and securing accountability which will ensure governance can function effectively and with purpose.

Example

One of the biggest challenges for organisations is their prioritisation and planning processes. They’re often fraught with issues as every team has their own way of interpreting and championing their priorities. When identifying ways to overcome this challenge, look to introduce a transparent process with a single point of entry for prioritisation. This could be seen as the ‘front door’. Fair and transparent prioritisation techniques will drive good governance by extending the decisions from entry through to delivery and into the business-s-usual functions for ongoing management of benefits.
